Introducing With a Grateful Heart
Stories, Journal entries, and Poetry from Eleven Years as an Expat in Asia
Finally!
With a Grateful Heart: Stories, Journal entries, and Poetry from Eleven Years as an Expat in Asia is coming soon. I can’t even begin to tell you how many trips to the printer I have made so that we could adjust the photo imaging YET AGAIN. But, it’s finally where it needs to be and I’m thrilled to have placed a limited run order to have paperback copies in hand in just a few weeks.
This book is precisely what it says it is, a book in which each chapter focuses on gratitude. It’s full of personal stories from our lives in Hong Kong and Korea, our travels all over Asia, as well as photos, reflections, and more.

Something interesting about the creation of this book is that much of the content originated in a one-hundred day series of blogs called “Thank you, Asia". In the final 100 days of living in Hong Kong, I wrote this series of blogs as a way to bring closure to more than a decade of amazing adventures in Asia. I had such a blast sitting down each day after work for 30 - 60 minutes to create a blog entry focusing on something I was grateful for. What a thrill it was to finally have a purpose to sift through thousands of photos I had taken over a decade! My blog is full of photos from my family’s journey and can be found in full at greenbaytokorea.blogspot.com. (Look in the archives beginning February 2021.)
If you know me personally, you’ll love this book. If you are fascinated by life abroad or Asia or traveling, you’ll love this book. Or, if you simply need a little reminder of how powerful gratitude is, you’ll love this book.
I’ll let you know when it becomes available for purchase! (Soon. . . so soon.)
Until next time when I will introduce Reasons for Hope. (Also coming soon!)
